Long Play is a new monthly night at The Waka, built around deep, melodic and progressive house, music that takes its time, tells a story, and is best enjoyed in the right space with the right people.
Long Play isn’t about big drops or trends, it’s about atmosphere, flow, and the long journey.
Each month will feature a rotating lineup of progressive DJs, both local and from out of town, keeping things fresh while staying true to the sound.
We’re kicking things off on Valentine’s Day with me Ali K and I’m really excited to be joined for the first Long Play by PETSAN, who we’re proud to be introducing to the Long Play floor.
PETSAN is a new kid on the block in Nelson’s electronic scene, delivering deep and progressive house driven by slow-burning build-ups and immersive atmosphere. His sets tell a story from the first beat to the last — designed to carry you on a journey well beyond the dancefloor.
The opening night is FREE ENTRY, thanks to @Kirin Hyoketsu NZ, who’ll also be launching a brand new flavour on the night
