‘He’s nursed a broken heart, so he learned his lessons’
An evening of music and poetry reflecting on what self-love actually looks like, through the lens of dating and relationships, by Ravi the poet (Tāmaki Makaurau).
Cute moments (like childhood crushes) open the door to deeper conversations about finding a peaceful, accepting and understanding relationship with yourself.
So basically, it’s like if you imagine advice on dating and how to navigate the complicated intricacies of love, but you find out that the intricacies you’re navigating are with yourself, your history, and your wounds. And then, learning to accept your own flaws like you would with someone you are learning to love.
