The then Nelson based tune smith and Art Director for the iconic festival“The Gathering “was playing the length of the country in all the right places .
Moving forward In time Gene hasn’t slowed down and is now a prolific artist producing and DJing under the alias KENNEDY.
His tracks have been released on seminal House labels such as Blockhead ,Paper and King St and hot modern labels like Plastic Digital ,Discoweey,Blacksoul Music to name a few .
He has been running the hottest House label in NZ, Deep and Under Records for the last 10 years !
His tracks and his label artists’ tracks are a constant in the world wide underground dance charts and features .
Gene is one of only a handful of NZ House artists currently making waves in the international House scene .
As a DJ Gene plays Nu-disco, Jacking House, Garage ,House and Tech House.
With over 2 decades of being behind the decks he is dynamic and dangerous in the mix .
He is without question a New Zealand House heavy weight , playing clubs and festivals throughout NZ.
