4-week Salsa "Get Creative with Basics" Course

Introducing our new "Get Creative with Basics" Salsa 4-week course, aimed at exploring fun creative combinations, using the Salsa basic steps we learn at our Salsa Beginners course.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

* You've completed the Salsa Beginners course previously, and ready to explore some creative ways of putting the basics together on the social floor
* You've previously tried our Salsa Improvers course, and found it becoming too challenging quickly
* You've had a long break with Salsa dancing, and need a gentle way to ease yourself back into it (without re-learning all the basics)
* You've danced some Salsa a long time ago, and need a refresher, before challenging yourself further
* You have a busy schedule, but still want to dance and have fun, the shorter time commitment of 4 weeks works better

SOME PRIOR KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

Please note, that this course is not designed for complete beginners - that's what our Salsa Beginner courses, that run throughout the year, are designed for! In our Salsa Beginner course we learn all of the Salsa basic steps and technique that one needs to progress further.

In this course, we will assume prior knowledge of Salsa basic steps, and focus on putting them together creatively into fun basic combinations that you can use on the social dance floor!

Classes are taught by Masha, who is an absolute legend in the NZ dance scene. She is a world salsa champion, and a multiple times winner of numerous competitions in NZ, Australia and overseas. She has been teaching dance for over 20 years, here in NZ and overseas, sharing her love of dance with 1000s of students, and producing multiple student champions – including the only amateur world champion representing NZ. She moved to Nelson in 2017, which means the sunny capital of NZ wins again!

Masha has a real talent for teaching dance, and making it accessible to virtually anyone. She will break down every movement, and explain it in a structured way that makes sense. You will walk out a better dancer, guaranteed!

Costs:

4-week course, early bird* - $80
4-week course, regular - $90

Casual, weekly - $25 cash only ($100 total)

Please note: Casual entries are not guaranteed, and could be turned away on the night, depending on circumstances. Only full registrations guarantee a spot in the course.

Classes will be structured as an 4-week course to maximise learning, and to build on top of the material covered in earlier classes. It is highly recommended that you attend all of the classes. We cover a lot in each class, so you want to make sure you don't skip many!

Registering for the entire course is not just a saving for you, but also helps us plan ahead - who is coming to the class, ratio of male/female for the course, and commitment level.
