Each year, your local Air and Space Forces Association’s (AFA) Thunderbird Chapter sponsors the Silver State Warfighter Industry Day (SSWID) at Nellis AFB, NV, in coordination with the USAF Warfare Center. Save the date for this year’s SSWID on Thursday, 11 September 2025.
SSWID is an excellent venue for Industry members to receive updates on where Nellis and Creech AFBs are currently focused and where they are headed in the future. This event is designed to help the Industry understand “what the warfighter is doing and what the warfighter needs."
All briefings will be held in the ARC Conference Room

Morning refreshments will be available, and a working lunch will be provided at the facility. A landing fee will be charged to cover the cost of refreshments and lunch. The cost to cover these will not exceed $50, but we are still working on the details.
Note this is not an AFA fundraiser.
There will be an end-of-event debrief & social at Robin’s Roost at the Nellis Club following the presentations.
The dress code for this event is UOD for military and Business Casual for civilians.
There will not be a hotel block for this event.
Registration instructions, including security clearance passing, and the final agenda will be sent out next month.
