-
at Tsha' Thon'nhes (Where They Play Ball)
Join the Onondaga Nation community, Tsha' Thon'nhes staff, Neighbors of the Onondaga Nation, Syracuse Peace Council, and We of Italian and Syracuse Heritage in CNY for our third Indigenous Peoples' Day Festival. This year we are at Tsha' Thon'nhes again- Route 11A in the Onondaga Nation community!
Check the discussion tab for details and updates.
The festival beings at 11 am and ends at 5 pm. Come enjoy food and drink, featured artists/speakers/performers, arts and crafts for sale (bring cash! ATM availble at Firekeepers Diner on Route 11), learn from local activists and community organizations, bring your family for the children's activities, and use our sensory/nursery space!
The event is fully accessible for people using mobility devices. Service Animals only- no support animals or pets. Organizers encourage visitors to use effective masks and/or practice social distancing as Covid-19 is still active and causing disabilities to members of our communities across various regions.
This event is made possible by the ongoing support of the Central New York Community Foundation.
Co-sponsoring organizations include American Indian Law Alliance, Art Rage Gallery, Engaged Humanities Network (Syracuse University), Indigenous Values Initiative, National Grid First Nations Employee Resource Group, Nuclear Information and Resource Service, Syracuse Cultural Workers, Syracuse DSA, Unchained, Zen Center of Syracuse.
