Prabalmachi Trek is one of the best weekend treks near Mumbai. Your trekking will start from Panvel. At Panvel station you will be welcomed by our company representative and then transferred to the base village of Thakurwadi.

Camping at Prabalmachi is an exciting and fun-filled experience overflowing with unique stories and unexploited nature under a blanket of the star-studded sky and in the midst of a forest full of fireflies.

Fireflies or lightning bugs are structured with specailized cells in their abdomen which emit light. Behold the glimmering thrill of millions of fireflies through your naked eyes and capture this gripping phenomenon with your lens. This trek will not give you the pleasant of hiking up a mountain but the view of fireflies along the route to the prabalmachi.

It offers a breathtaking picturesque backdrop of both Prabalgad and Kalavantin Durg with a scenic valley view of the outskirts of Panvel.

Day 1 – Saturday

04.00pm – Meet the team outside the panvel station

04.20 pm – Move towards base village Thakurwadi by private vehicle

05.00 pm – Reach thakurwadi & have small introduction round

05.15 pm – Start the ascend to Prabalmachi village

(Enjoy the Fireflies on the Way)

08.00 pm – Reach the campsite

09.30 pm – Have Dinner

Day 2 – Sunday

05.30 am – Wake up call freshen up & Ready for the Kalavantin Trek (Optional)

08.00 am – Tea & Breakfast

09.00 am – Start Descending to Thakurwadi

10.30 am – Reach Thakurwadi & Start the return journey

11.30 am – Reach Panvel Station

Note

Campers are requested to board the same train from their respective stations.

Campers will be meeting our Trek leader at Panvel railway station near the ticket counter.

Fireflies Sighting Depends on the climate

Kalavantin Trek is optional if you don`t want to do it you relax at the campsite.

For Kalavantin Trek proper trek shoes and a torch are compulsory. Otherwise will not allow doing the trek.

People may board the same train from their respective stations of convenience.

Missing the train is missing Fireflies Night Trek to Prabalmachi no refund will be provided

If it rains camping will provided under the shed or Homestay
