Join us for an exciting and educational class Black Bears in the Wild: Conservation and Challenges

This will be an exciting upcoming presentation on coexisting with our local black bears! This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the habits and behaviors of these incredible creatures that share our community. Discover essential safety tips to protect yourself and others, and most importantly, how to show respect for these amazing animals that often walk so close around us. Whether you're a resident, hiker, or outdoor enthusiast, this presentation will equip you with the knowledge to enjoy nature responsibly and safely. We look forward to seeing you there and fostering a greater understanding and appreciation for our local black bears. By attending, you'll not only expand your knowledge but also contribute to the preservation of these beautiful animals.

This presentation is brought to you by Anna Hackney, Wildlife Conservation Biologist, who is the owner/operator of Sandspur Wildlife Sanctuary. She is Florida Master Naturalist, Land Manager of Welannee Sandhill Conservation Area (522 acres), Florida FWC Rehab Native Wildlife permitted, USFWS Migratory Bird Rehabilitation Permitted for all species including Eagles and a Florida FWC Gopher Tortoise Agent. Anna will guide you through a captivating journey, sharing fascinating facts, dispelling myths, and providing valuable insights into black bears and conservation efforts. NBSTCC is proud to collaborate and partner with Sandspur Wildlife Sanctuary to offer this awesome education class.

NBSTCC has a "No Refund Policy" to ensure the smooth operation of the facility and to provide a memorable experience for all guests. Thank you in advance and we look forward to your visit! NBSTCC opens to the public at 10am, during the last 30 minutes, when the participants are on the self-guided exploration, enjoying a Scavenger Hunt, or shopping in the Gift Shop, there may be public guests arriving to visit the NBSTCC.

• $15.00 per Guest Ticket

• Program Length: 1 hour (60 minutes)
