This presentation is brought to you by Molly OConnor. Molly O'Connor is one of the Teachers on Special Assignment at the Roy Hyatt Environmental Center. She is a Pensacola native and has had a love for animals and the environment since a small child. She is married to Rick O'Connor, they have three children and four grandchildren. Molly has been a teacher for 30 years and has worked at the RHEC for over 20 years. RHEC is a part of the Escambia County Public Schools and is open daily for student field trips by appointment only. The RHEC originally opened in 1968 with the mission of immersing students in meaningful outdoor educational experiences that encourage curiosity and respect for our environment, developing their knowledge and love of the natural world and inspiring them to become lifelong stewards of the environment. Teaching with Molly will be June Bug, the eastern screech owl. Molly and June Bug have worked together for approximately 15 years teaching children about owls' unique characteristics and the important role that owls play in their environment.
NBSTCC has a "No Refund Policy" to ensure the smooth operation of the facility and to provide a memorable experience for all guests. Thank you in advance and we look forward to your visit! NBSTCC opens to the public at 10am, during the last 30 minutes, when the participants are on the self-guided exploration, enjoying a Scavenger Hunt, or shopping in the Gift Shop, there may be public guests arriving to visit the NBSTCC.
