MSPHI Overdose Awareness Day 2025

Everyone is invited to gather on the Natchez Bluff on Saturday August 30th, from 8 a.m. to noon for International Overdose Awareness Day--A moving, family friendly event dedicated to honoring lives lost to overdose, supporting those in recovery, and breaking down the stigma surrounding addiction.

Free Naloxone will be available.

The morning will be filled with remembrance, resources and resilience. Against a backdrop of sweeping Mississippi River views those who attend will come together to remember loved ones, learn lifesaving skills and connect with others committed to creating a healthier, safer community.

The event will include free Naloxone distribution and training, community health resources, a remembrance wall and short program honoring loved ones lost.

Families are encouraged to bring photos or mementos for the memorial display and to participate in the pinwheel ceremony acknowledging those who have died from overdoses.
