Week Without Driving is a national campaign led by the America Walks organization, meant to help those in charge of our transportation networks and investment priorities understand the needs of non-drivers in their communities — in particular, involuntary nondrivers who can’t drive or can’t afford to drive.
Aimed at improving safety and accessibility for multimodal trips, the Nashville Connector is collaborating with NDOT's Vision Zero program during the 2025 Week Without Driving (September 29 - October 5) for a neighborhood walk audit. Open to all community members, NDOT representatives will field short- and long-term requests, provide guidance on available resources, and demonstrate how to document multimodal infrastructure deficiencies in the most effective manner.
Use this open forum to discuss reasons why the selected area and proximate bus stops may not feel accessible or safe, or be used more frequently etc. sidewalk gaps, speeding, litter, etc.
All attendees will receive a free QuickTicket bus pass. We'll meet at WeGo Central at 5 pm and take bus route 55 to Lafayette Street & Fairfield Ave EB. From there attendees will get to partcipate in a walk audit of from the stretch Layfayette from University Ct. to Fairfield Ave.
Also check out other Business events in Nashville.
