Silence Earthling is a guitar driven female fronted Power Pop band (with emphasis on Power). that started as a recording project For a 3 song vinyl EP when bassist Craig Anderson reconnected with drummer Alan Hannapel, who in the 1980s played in Chicago Metal band Gibraltar. Already committed was guitarist Collin Colohan, and Singer Lauren Hill, and the EP “SHUT UP” was released in early 2020. Exit Lauren Hill after the release and enter singer-songwriter Tracee Perrin taking over lead vocals for the “Space Baby” 4-song EP release in 2022 and the “Jane the school bus driver” 4 song EP release in 2024, both on vinyl, as well.
All members now reside in Nashville and are now committed to doing many live shows and more vinyl releases in the future!
Hellraiser was formed when Cannon Hunt encouraged childhood friend Grant Walters, an engineer working in Middle Tennessee, to perform his own music.
Since 2011, Grant Walters has been writing music with no intent to perform or record. With the encouragement and aid of the rest of the band, “Works Great on Paper” represents the conclusion to a decade-long project that was never intended to exist originally. It explores themes of becoming an adult in the late 2010s and navigating the world since the Covid lockdown. Genuine, bored, anxious, and driven, the music matches the songwriting.
“Works Great on Paper” was produced by George Rezek at his home studio. This recording process allowed Hellraiser to tap into the earnest vibe of the project. Simultaneously exploring the present and reminiscing on the past, Works Great on Paper and Hellraiser invite you to sit, listen, and participate in the conversation.
