Music and Fun

Saturdays, February 7 and April 18, 9am-11am
DSAMT, ABA therapist Julie Mayer, and Belmont University have partnered with Belmont University's College of Education, Music Education, and Music Therapy Programs to offer a fun time of music, movement & friendship for children with Down syndrome. Overviewed by Belmont's College of Education, participants in this inclusive program will sing, move, and play instruments, working together and individually to make beautiful music, play games and learn a little something along the way. In addition to being a lot of fun for participants, Music and Fun benefits Belmont students in learning more about individuals with Down syndrome and helps them in their careers after graduation. Ages 5-11 will focus on singing, movement and games. Ages 12-15 will focus more on music and instruments. Parents can enjoy a nice 2-hour break, too.
