World Peace Day 21Sep25 - Hugs For Peace, Central Napier
It's difficult to explain how wonderful it is freely giving hugs to anyone who's open to receiving them - in support of World Peace.
It's a phenomenon that's been sweeping the globe, in various forms, for many years.
Hugging on World Peace Day started in 2011.

This year the 21st is on a Sunday and so I'm asking for some huggers to join me from 12.00-2.00pm.
Join us for half an hour, an hour, or the full 2 hours - whatever you feel comfortable with.
I provide bright yellow sports bibs with the words "Free Hugs for World Peace"on them, for whoever wants to wear them. There will be signs for us to hold, saying "FREE HUGS" to help attract our hug recipients.
You'll be lifted higher than you were before and have a warmer heart as a result. And it's much more fun in a team.
Please come and share the love and experience the joy you will get back from freely sharing hugs.
We'll start in Clive Square in central Napier and see where the vibe takes us ☺💕
