Ever wonder what it’s like to spend 43+ years chasing stories across Chicagoland? Journalist Steve Metsch's stories have appeared in the Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Tribune, Suburban Life, Des Plaines Valley News, and beyond. He worked for newspapers in Crystal Lake and Decatur before spending 25 years with the Daily Southtown. In 2016, he became a full-time freelancer and since 2018, he’s written the Naperville Sun’s weekly “Down to Business” column, profiling more than 345 local businesses.

On this night, Steve shares his journey from newsroom deadlines to unforgettable encounters. Then the tables turn, and we get to interview him about the wild, fascinating, and unexpected stories behind the headlines.
