NAPA, CA — The beloved Grand Night for Singing series continues this Saturday, October 4, 2025, with an evening of opera, art song, and musical theater presented by a stellar cast of vocalists. Audiences will enjoy dramatic arias, comic gems, heartfelt ballads, and contemporary showtunes—an eclectic program designed to highlight the expressive power of the human voice.
🎹 Featured Pianist & Host
Paul Dab, pianist, music director, and educator, collaborates regularly with Bay Area organizations including Pocket Opera, Lamplighters Music Theater, West Bay Opera, and Cinnabar Theater. He has been part of world premieres of operas and art songs, with performances featured at Center for New Music, Old First Concert Series, and the Shenson Faculty Artist Series at SFCMC. He is also a dedicated teacher with programs at SF Community Music Center, SF Opera Guild, and SF Conservatory of Music.
🌟 Featured Singers
Amber Marsh, soprano – A versatile performer, Amber has sung leading roles with Verismo Opera and California Lyric Artist Association, from Suor Angelica to Carmen, and shines equally in musical theater with credits in A Little Night Music, The Pirates of Penzance, and Funny Girl.
Audrey Johnson, soprano – An emerging artist, Audrey created the role of Saint Joan in the world premiere of The Passion of Joan of Arc (2025) and has appeared with the San Francisco Opera Conservatory. She also brings a vibrant background in musical theater, from Chicago to Mamma Mia!.
Katie Foster, soprano – Katie’s journey spans opera, musical theater, and teaching, with roles in Company, Cinderella, and Die Fledermaus. She directs youth theater productions, teaches privately, and brings warmth and artistry to every stage.
Ted C. Smith, baritone – A multifaceted actor and singer, Ted has played leading roles in A Year with Frog and Toad, Spamalot, and Guys and Dolls. He is also an accomplished voice actor, blending stage and studio artistry with charisma and humor.
Jill Wagoner, soprano – A veteran of Bay Area stages, Jill has performed with Verismo Opera, Sonoma Arts Live, and 6th Street Playhouse, in roles ranging from Miss Pinkerton in The Old Maid and the Thief to Mrs. Bennet in Pride and Prejudice.
Paul Troppy, baritone – A longtime member of the Santa Rosa Symphonic Choir, Paul is a dedicated singer and community leader. Offstage, he coaches high school track and runs his own painting business, bringing passion and joy to all he does.
Gabriel Adelman, tenor – A rising performer, Gabriel has appeared in roles such as Bobby Strong in Urinetown and earned recognition as a 2025 Redwood Empire NATS Festival award winner. He is known for his vibrant voice and collaborative spirit.
