The Napa Center for Thought and Culture is thrilled to announce its next speaker in our celebrated series: Anne Lamott, the beloved American novelist, nonfiction writer, essayist, and activist whose voice has inspired millions.
Join us Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Napa Valley College for an unforgettable evening of wit, wisdom, and truth-telling.
Often called “the people’s author”, Lamott is known for her self-deprecating humor, unflinching honesty, and fierce compassion. Her bestselling novels, nonfiction, and autobiographical essays—rooted in her own life experiences—explore themes of faith, motherhood, loss, recovery, and the messy, beautiful reality of being human. She has been honored with a Guggenheim Fellowship, writes for The Washington Post, has taught at UC Davis and at writing conferences across the country, and is a proud inductee into the California Hall of Fame.
The evening will feature a captivating talk by Lamott, followed by a moderated conversation and an audience Q&A.
This is your chance to hear her take on life’s biggest questions—delivered with the rare combination of ruthless honesty and laugh-out-loud humor that has made her a literary treasure.
Don’t miss an evening with Anne Lamott—where hard truths meet heartfelt laughter.
