But when his group reaches a military checkpoint, the soldiers declare his permit invalid and send him home, leaving him behind as his classmates continue onward.
Undeterred, Khaled embarks on an uncertain journey to the sea, navigating a world he barely knows and a language he does not speak, propelled by a blend of curiosity, hope, and stubborn determination. Meanwhile, his father, Ribhi, an undocumented laborer in Israel, discovers his son is missing. Driven by love, fear, and the faintest glimmer of hope, he abandons his job and ventures into the unknown to find him, risking arrest and the loss of his livelihood.
