The Dub Picnic
It's the 4th annual Dub Picnic, Gabriola Island's Free Reggae Dance at the Garbiola Commons
Every year The Dub Picnic crew invite dancers down to the Gabriola Commons for a six hour Sound System DJ Session to celebrate the beautiful summer vibes.
This year the DJ crew features Bunny Dub, Naytaron, Rudeboy Herron, and DJ Karalarm spinning a wide selection of rockers, lovers, dancehall, jungle, dub, ska, roots, steppers, and other styles of reggae music.
The dance happens between 4pm and 10pm at the Timberframe site, Gabriola Commons on Gabriola Island, BC.
The Gabriola Commons is a short walk from the Gabriola Island Ferry dock, and the last ferry leaving for Nanaimo at the end of the night is at 11:00pm. (The Gabriola Island ferry is a round trip for one price both ways)
Pack for a picnic with beverages and snacks, sunscreen and water, umbrellas and inflatables, chairs and beach balls, glow sticks and beach blankets, and any other stuff you want to drag along...
If you want to camp on the island then check out Descanso Bay Regional Park in advance

Come for the weekend and go check out our weekend markets and the wonderful island hiking trails

The dance is absolutely free but there will be a donation jug discreetly located somewhere on site so if you want to support the event by helping us cover our costs we will love you forever.
We like to keep the dance free for everyone, but there are production expenses and the DJs travel to the event from other regions at their own expense, so we won't turn down any support. You can just slip it in the bucket
See you at The Commons on Saturday September 6th!
