Seeking 5 actors for NTG's entry into the Vancouver Island One-Act Play Festival:

Auditions will be held at the Bailey Theatre on Friday August 29 at 7pm and Saturday August 30 at 2pm and will consist of cold reading from the script in groups. *Please e-mail Edward Gueulette at

Actors must be available for rehearsals from September 24 - November 4 at the Bailey Theatre. Rehearsals will be scheduled to accommodate availability wherever possible but are expected to be Wednesday and Friday evening at 7pm, and likely a weekend time to be established by availability.
Actors must be available for performances dates:
1 performance on a date from November 5 - 9, 2025, at Village Theatre in Qualicum as part of their One-Act Play Festival.
We are also working on performance dates in early November at the Bailey Theatre, performed in the lobby for an immersive audience experience.
This is a full production, not a staged reading.
All actors are required to become NTG members if they are not so already (membership is $25 for one year). All roles are volunteer.

ROLES:
LENORE: Playing age range 20 - 30. Gothic, gloomy, sarcastic. American accent.
LADY OF SHALOTT: Playing age range 25 - 40. She’s giving fairy tale princess, sylphlike, fragile. British accent.
OEDIPUS: Playing age range 25 - 45. A king who has been through some trauma and fallen from grace. Any accent.
WIFE OF BATH: Playing age range 45 - 65. Bawdy and energetic, doesn’t care what others think of her. British accent.
BONNIE: Playing age range 20 - 30. Pleasant customer service performativity, loses it when others don’t cooperate. Scottish accent (essential).
