This Saturday, we welcome Mela Q, the alias of Italian artist Massimiliano Frateschi, bringing his unique blend of deep ambient, hi-fi techno, and IDM to Bangkok.

His name comes from the Mac shortcut MELA+Q – symbolizing reboot, distortion, and the fusion of humans with technology. Known for turning environmental sounds and high-frequency distortions into immersive journeys, Mela Q shifts between melodic and aggressive grooves, weaving in acid house and experimental deep vibes.

Since starting out in Bari with vinyls, guitars, and MIDI, he has grown into an eclectic performer combining music, visuals, and art installations. Founder of XMS and Next Event, Mela Q keeps pushing boundaries with a sound that’s raw, hypnotic, and futuristic.
