A one-day physical theatre workshop where children devise movement, write, and perform their own original creations.
These school holidays, give yourself — or your child — something deeper than just a day off. Give the gift of creativity, connection, and confidence.
At D.I.V.E. Theatre Collective, we don’t hand out scripts. We create from the heart. In this one-day workshop (9am–3pm), participants explore themes that matter to them — transforming ideas, emotions, and imagination into original performances through movement, creative writing, and collaboration.
Throughout the day, they’ll devise their own scenes, write poetic texts, and build movement routines that express who they are — body, mind, and soul. The workshop culminates in a mini showcase of their own creations, where their voices are seen, heard, and celebrated.
This is more than a theatre class — it’s an experience that strengthens the body, expands the mind, and feeds the spirit. With a focus on physical theatre, participants move, think, and create with purpose. It’s like a workout for the heart — energising, empowering, and deeply fulfilling.
Whether you’re a young person ready to explore who you are, or a parent wanting to see your child shine with confidence, D.I.V.E. offers a space where creativity, wellbeing, and self-expression come together.
Because when children move their bodies and speak their truth, something extraordinary happens — they find themselves.
Meet Your Facilitators — Cesar Genaro & Megan O’Hare
Cesar Genaro and Megan O’Hare bring warmth, artistry, and international experience to every workshop. Cesar, originally from Brazil, is a theatre maker and educator who trained in physical theatre with Frantic Assembly in England and has a background in experimental and socially engaged theatre.
Megan, a performer and educator, trained in Japan with Dairakudakan Temptenshiki, one of the world’s leading butoh ensembles, and brings a deep awareness of movement, creativity, and presence to her teaching. Together, they foster an inclusive, supportive environment where young people can take creative risks, celebrate their individuality, and thrive.
