Discover the unique biodiversity of Pangot—from Himalayan birds and forest mammals to native shrubs, ferns, and towering oak–rhododendron landscapes. This refreshing morning walk offers an immersive experience in one of Kumaon’s most enchanting natural habitats.

Pangot, near Nainital (Uttarakhand), is known for its rich oak, pine, and rhododendron forests.

  • Pangot is approx. 45–60 minutes from Nainital. Parking available near Jungle Lore Birding Lodge.
  • By Bus:
  • Take a bus to Nainital, then hire a taxi to Pangot.
  • By Train:
  • Kathgodam is the nearest railway station (50–60 km). Taxis are available from the station.


Weather Conditions
