Getting There

Pangot, near Nainital (Uttarakhand), is known for its rich oak, pine, and rhododendron forests.

• By Car:
• Pangot is approx. 45–60 minutes from Nainital. Parking available near Jungle Lore Birding Lodge.
• By Bus:
• Take a bus to Nainital, then hire a taxi to Pangot.
• By Train:
• Kathgodam is the nearest railway station (50–60 km). Taxis are available from the station.

Weather Conditions

December mornings in Pangot are cold and crisp, with temperatures between 3°C and 10°C—excellent conditions for biodiversity exploration and photography.
