Getting There

• Pangot, located near Nainital (Uttarakhand), is known for its pristine oak–pine forests and rich biodiversity.
• By Car:
• Pangot is about 45–60 minutes from Nainital. Parking is available around Jungle Lore Birding Lodge.
• By Bus:
• Take a bus to Nainital, then hire a taxi to Pangot.
• By Train:
• Nearest station: Kathgodam (approx. 50–60 km). Taxis are readily available.

Weather Conditions

Late December in Pangot is cold, with temperatures between 3°C and 12°C.
