This exhibition is the result of a seven-year collaboration between Amanda and Anand.
Across 23 encounters with the camera as our witness, they captured 13,372 moments of stillness, laughter, sorrow, and transformation. Both observers and observed, they mirrored each other. The locations, the lens, the silence between clicks — all became portals. Each image is marked with its exact birth: day, month, year, hour, minute, second.
A way of saying: Here it happened. Then we lived. And now it still lives within the image.

What if death was not the end, but a beginning?
What if darkness was not the enemy, but a teacher?
What if every moment of pain was an initiation into life?
I am not dying.
I am returning to life.
Again and again.

I have known hunger, and a war with my own body.
Addictions I once relied on.
Nights thick with panic.
Hands that hurt instead of held.
Homes that were never home.
And later, the word that freezes breath: cancer. Stage 4. Terminal.
But alongside the hardship, I’ve spent years choosing life.
Meditating, practicing yoga, teaching, traveling the world,
creating my own work and meeting my fears with love.

The exhibition is not just a gallery.
It’s a space where photography meets poetry, playback theatre,
the healing power of silence, and the warmth of human sharing.
It is an invitation to step closer to the shadows.
Not to disappear into them,
but to see the light they quietly carry.
It is a meeting place for anyone who has faced loss, fear, illness, or despair,
and who has kept choosing love over fear.
Kept choosing life, even when it hurt.

And because life is too precious not to celebrate, on Friday night, after the exhibition, the space transforms into a dance floor.
We’ll move, laugh, and gather as friends for Amanda’s birthday,
and for the wild, wondrous joy of being alive.
Here. Now. And always.

This exhibition lives in the space between what is fleeting and what is eternal.
It is their offering — a raw, beautiful, and honest witness of what it means to be alive, even while facing death.
A story not just of survival, but of presence.
Of return.
Of rebirth.
