The City of Muskegon is preparing for a resurfacing project along Western Avenue and nearby streets, beginning no earlier than mid-September 2025, with work continuing into 2026.
This resurfacing-only project will improve road quality while minimizing disruptions to downtown businesses, residents, and visitors. Streets included in the project:
Western Avenue (8th Street → Terrace Street)
7th Street (Western Avenue → Shoreline Drive)
6th Street (Western Avenue → Clay Avenue, up to the alley)

Each session will begin with a brief 10-minute presentation (starting 10 minutes after the meeting begins), followed by Q&A and open discussion.
