December "Bring A Friend" Luncheon & Gift Card Exchange

**PLEASE NOTE: FINAL RSVP BY 5:00PM FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12TH WITH NO EXCEPTIONS**

Please join us for the December “Bring A Friend” Luncheon at Geneva Golf & Country Club. The meal will be plantation salad with grilled chicken, a breadstick, a cookie, ice cream, and coffee or tea. We will be doing a gift card exchange, so please bring a wrapped gift card worth $15.00. PLEASE NOTE: The Gift Card needs to be from a local Muscatine store or service as we want to support our local businesses (e.g. restaurant, store, hair salon, theatre, etc.)! Dress in your festive wear.

Our December drive will be for the Jesus Mission Church/Pearl City Outreach. Jesus Mission Church/Pearl City Outreach is a safe environment for the less fortunate to go who do not have a home or food to eat. During the frigid Iowa winters, Jesus Mission Church/Pearl City Outreach act as twenty-four-hour warming stations for anyone who is living outside. These organizations know from the smiles on children’s faces and from the grateful appreciation of their parents that the simple gift of a new toy can make a tremendous difference during the holidays. The most requested brands for 11–13-year-old boys and girls include Adidas, Brain Quest, Bunch-O-Balloons, Burt's Bees, Coleman, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Educational Insights, Exploding Kittens, Fortnite, Hunger Games, Kinetic Sand, Legos, Marvel, Minecraft, Nerf, Pokemon, Pusheen, Snap Circuits, Spalding, Razor, Star Wars, Tervis, Under Armour, Uno, Vera Bradley, and VTech. At $15.00 per person which may be paid by cash or a check made out to "Newcomers", we offer an AMAZING value for great food, great company, and great entertainment. THIS LOW PRICE IS ONLY ACHIEVABLE WITH OUR VARIOUS FUNDRAISING EFFORTS THROUGHOUT THE MEMBERSHIP YEAR!! If you have not already done so, please be prepared to pay our annual dues of $20.00 for the 2025-26 membership year.

Reservations: To attend, please RSVP Yes by 5:00pm on Friday, December 12th.

Childcare: Provided for $5.00 per child, please add a comment with the RSVP stating your child's name and age. Please drop your children off at Wesley United Methodist Church, 400 Iowa Avenue, between 11-11:30am. Please pack a lunch for each child. PLEASE NOTE: Infants up to six months of age are welcome to accompany their mothers to the luncheon site.

Any cancellations after 8:00am will need to pay for the cost of the meal. Someone may bring your payment and pick up your meal if you are unable to attend.

Final RSVP by Friday, Friday, December 12th. **If you are needing to add your RSVP after 5:00pm on Friday afternoon you need to text Erin, the 2nd Vice President, to tell her in person. WE NEED TO GUARANTEE FOOD FOR YOU AND IF YOU ARE BRINGING A FRIEND, YOU MUST PUT HER NAME DOWN ON EVITE.

**Muscatine Newcomers & Friends Club holds a monthly social luncheon. It is held on the third Tuesday of the month from September through May.
