Firefighter 1 Prep Class

Holiday Park Volunteer Fire Department in Plum Borough is pleased to announce that we are hosting a Firefighter 1 Prep Course (24 hour version) at our station starting on February 23, 2026 in conjunction with Westmoreland County Community College's Public Safety Training Center.

Schedule
Monday & Wednesday’s 6:30pm – 10:30pm (Feb 23 & 25 and Mar 2 & 4)
Saturday 8am – 4pm (March 7)

Cost
Tuition: $100.00
Materials Fee: $25.00

Course Prerequisites
Meet all Firefighter 1 Application Requirements
Complete Firefighter 1 Application (available here)
Minimum 18 Years of Age
Completed ELIF or SBS (ELIF must be EL12 or EL22)
Current PSFA Approved First Aid Card (recommend AHA) or EMS Certification
Current PSFA BLS CPR Card (recommend AHA BLS)
Current Hazardous Materials Operations Certificate
