Intermediate Trimming

Completion of MD2’s exploring the equine hoof and beginner trimming are pre-requisites for this class.

This class is for those looking to advance their skills and knowledge in equine hoof care. Students will trim cadavers with more advanced pathology, without the guidance. Trims will then be discussed with the class as you verbalize your process and what your plan would be moving forward.

The second portion of class will focus on ergonomic positions to keep yourself and the horse safe and comfortable during trims.

Students attending this course are recommended to have their own set of trimming tools.

What to bring: a chair, safety shoes, cut proof gloves, and trimming tools. You can bring lunch or will have time to go to a nearby spot during lunch break.
