Ever wondered what happens after your bins are emptied?
Join KESAB for a free Beyond the Kerb community tour—an opportunity to go behind-the-scenes of our local waste and recycling system.

This guided bus tour takes you to key sites including the Brinkley Waste & Recycling Facility, Brinkley ReUse Centre, and Peats Soils’ composting site. You'll learn how waste is sorted, recovered and reused, and gain practical tips on how to live more sustainably.

• Date: Tuesday 1 July 2025
• Time: 9:10 am – 1:00 pm
• Departure location: Murray Bridge Community Centre, 18 Beatty Terrace
• Cost: Free
• Eligibility: Open to residents of the Rural City of Murray Bridge
• Refreshments: Light refreshments provided

Tour Itinerary
• 9:10 am – Arrive at Murray Bridge Community Centre
• 9:15 am – Bus departs for Brinkley Waste Transfer Station
• 9:45 am – Arrive at Brinkley Waste & Recycling Facility (bus tour)
• 10:30 am – Walking tour and refreshments at Brinkley ReUse Centre (toilet break)
• 11:10 am – Depart for Peats Soils, Langhorne Creek
• 11:40 am – Arrive at Peats Soils for discussion and site tour (toilet break)
• 12:40 pm – Depart Peats Soils
• 1:00 pm – Return to Murray Bridge Community Centre

What to Bring
• Water bottle and optional waste-free snacks
• Optional: face mask or earplugs for dusty or noisy areas
• Optional: your own high-vis vest (vests will also be provided)
What to Wear
• Enclosed, low-heeled shoes (sneakers recommended)
• Comfortable clothing suitable for walking on uneven surfaces
• Please dress for the weather
