the Wild and Wide: an Exploration in Watercolor :: Gail Watson at the CCAC

The Cherokee County Arts Council is proud to welcome accomplished watercolor artist Gail Watson as our September 2025 Guest Artist in the Center Gallery with her exhibition the Wild and Wide: an Exploration in Watercolor. Known for her mastery of watercolor techniques-including traditional methods, watercolor pours, and batik on rice paper-Gail captures the beauty of nature with striking detail and vibrant color.

Her work reflects the landscapes she knows best: wooded trails, coastal harbors, and wildlife from across the country, inspired by her travels and her life surrounded by nature in Georgia. Gail is a signature member of six watercolor societies and has exhibited in juried shows nationwide.

Light refreshments and hors d'oeuvres will be served. This event is free and open to the public!

Join us for the opening reception on Friday, September 5th at 5:30 PM to meet Gail, view her latest works, and celebrate the beauty of nature through watercolor.
