Flawless Issues is far more than just an underground gem from Germany. He blends post-punk, electronica, egg-punk, krautrock, pop, and synthwave into a raw, authentic sound, often captured straight onto cassette tape.
Whether performing solo or with a full band, Flawless Issues creates an atmosphere that’s both driving and dreamlike. He has gained recognition not only in Germany but also across the international indie and wave scenes. In the past, he has worked with some of the most exciting artists from the US, especially the buzzing LA scene.
With influences from bands like Eels, The Flaming Lips, The Drums, Jesus and the Mary Chain, The Chemical Brothers, and The Go! Team, Flawless Issues brings the perfect mix of experimentation and depth. His music resonates with a wide audience, offering something unique that connects with diverse musical tastes.
With his distinctive style and engaging live shows, Flawless Issues is a welcomed addition to The Great Escape Festival in Brighton. He’ll be sharing new tracks from his upcoming album I Wish I Had More Time, giving fans a preview of what’s to come.

Founded in Berlin in 2021, Das Beat are blending sounds of German New Wave, Dark Disco, Indie, & Dance, their sound is unified by the vocals of Eddie Rabenberger, sung in both German and English. Amidst playful lyrics lies a strong dancey pulse (Das “Beat”), pinning down the duo’s meandering atmospherics, dreamy synths, guitars and percussion.
The duo is half-Canadian and half-German. Dj Kirby (Blue Hawaii), moved to Berlin from Montreal in 2018. Eddie is a performance artist originally from a small town in southern Germany. Together they find an alluring symbiosis - like Giorgio Moroder meets Nico, or Gina X Performance finds The Prodigy.
