HOUSEHOLD HEROES: BUILD YOUR OWN PLANT STAND

This workshop builds on the foundations introduced in Household Heroes 101, guiding participants through their first full woodworking project: a custom wooden plant stand. In this session, you’ll practice measuring, cutting, drilling, sanding, gluing, and assembling parts with precision.

Each member will also learn finishing techniques — including sanding, staining, and applying a protective coating — to give their stand a polished, durable look.

Participants will leave with a completed plant stand, ready to display a favorite plant at home. This beginner-friendly session reinforces tool safety and technique while expanding DIY skills, laying the groundwork for more advanced projects in future Household Heroes classes.

This program is FREE to current Maker Space Members (use coupon: Member) or $25 for non-members. Space is limited.
