Ecstatic Dance for Humanity

Join us to move our bodies through the medicine of dance in a powerful and nourishing community gathering to show solidarity and support for Palestine, dancing to stand up against the horrors of genocide, for a Free Palestine. Extending our dancing hearts to those who need our voice and support now more than ever.

🕊️The evening is a container to connect to music in unity with the heart guiding us in our expression to embody the true meaning of humanity. Solidarity,liberation, presence, truth, compassion and peace through the oldest medicine of all time... dance 💓

🇵🇸Cwtches for Gaza was founded by two volunteers from Wales — Aimee and Sol — to provide direct cash aid to Palestinian families displaced from Gaza and now living in Egypt. After months of displacement and destruction, thousands of families have been forced to flee to Egypt with nothing. Many receive little or no institutional support.This fund offers direct lifelines: dignity, flexibility, and hope. Cwtches to Gaza gives money directly to families so they can pay for what they urgently need; food and clean water, rent for safe shelter, medication and hospital treatments, mattresses, blankets, basic supplies. The word “cwtch” is Welsh for hug or safe place. That’s what this project is about — offering compassion, dignity, and practical help during a time of unimaginable hardship.

🇵🇸The Sameer Project is led by Palestinians in the diaspora, working closely with teams on the ground in Gaza. Their mission is simple and vital: to deliver rapid, life-saving aid — including food, water, medical supplies, baby formula, and shelter — directly to those who need it most. Their work is guided by the values of dignity, resilience, and community agency, aiming not just to provide relief, but to support families in reclaiming a sense of choice and humanity in the midst of crisis. What makes The Sameer Project unique is its direct, community-led model: aid is distributed based on the real-time needs of people on the ground, with a focus on the most vulnerable — including children, people with disabilities, and families in displacement camps.

Let’s stand in solidarity, from Wales to Palestine, with love and practical action. Together, we can turn collective grief into solidarity, healing, and action.

Ecstatic Dance is a free form movement practice which takes dancers through an embodied journey of inner discovery, joy and freedom. This is a self-lead and expansive space with no rules, just a few guidelines:

🌀We dance barefoot, grouning into the earth.

🌀 We dance without words, to let the body speak.

🌀 We dance without substance, no alcohol/drugs permitted. We dance on the high of our own pure energy supply.

🌀 We dance without technology, being in the present moment!

🎵Our Dj will take us on a journey through a beautifully crafted, worldly & eclectic DJ set. Weaving waves of genres and energies to get our body moving and soul smiling with our immersive silent disco headsets. Ending with softness, stillness and slow integration back into our closing circle.

🎧Co-founder and Resident Dj Jazzy Bee will be gracing the decks with fun, sensual and heart nourishing tunes to let our bodies speak and for our hearts to be present! A journey to explore the waters of whatever is needed to be experssed through movement and soul. Expect a set which is, booty shakin, deep, earthy and oozing emotion to explore the depths of our humanness, the light and the dark. This is more than a sober rave, its a transformational space to alchemise whatever is needed to be met and to honour being ALIVE in our bodies.

✨If you have never been to an ecstatic dance before or it may be your first time dancing sober and you feel nervous, please be assured the ED Wales team create a friendly and welcoming space. We are all on the journey together, and the dance portal is co -created by eveyones unquiness. It's a truly special experience when random humans gather together and find joy in letting our bodies be free to music with no judgement and compassion for eachother.

We will never turn anyone away from lack of funds.

Parking is available outside the Ostreme centre, but if that's full there is residential and on street parking around the centre in Mumbles.

We hold a safe, compassionate and non-judgmental container for community joy and wellbeing.
