Ready to turn your passion into a profession? The VTCT Junior Stylist Diploma Level 2, delivered by AB Academy and accredited by VTCT, is a comprehensive 9-month course designed for complete beginners or junior stylists looking to build confidence and skills.

This course is a part of our award-winning training programme and prepares students for real-world salon work. On completion, students receive the VTCT Level 2 Diploma – an internationally recognised qualification – as well as the AB Academy Junior Stylist Diploma.

You’ll master:

• Core techniques: Shampooing, consultations, blowdrying, colour rinsing, toning
• Colouring skills: Tinting, T-bar meche, partial & full head highlights
• Cutting fundamentals: Long cuts, bobs, layers, fashion cuts & basic up-styling
• Salon readiness: Health & safety, reception skills, and professional consultation

Grants of up to €1,000 are available for eligible students receiving social welfare benefits.

Assessment & FormatYou’ll be assessed through regular practical assessments, theory exams, and a professional portfolio of work to track your growth and development.
