EiTH presents an evening with Driven Snow

Driven Snow, the collaborative project of Kieran McGuinness (Delorentos) and Emily Aylmer (Republic of Loose), emerges from years of quiet songwriting and family life.

Their debut album A Kind of Dreaming fuses acoustic pop-folk with subtle electronic touches, crafting songs that are gentle, heartfelt, and thoughtfully arranged. Influences from Neil Young, Beach House, and Cat Power shimmer through harmonies that feel intimate yet expansive. Tracks like Trying and Tonight, They’ll Find Me Lost explore vulnerability, while others radiate warmth and light. Recorded at Tommy McLaughlin’s Attica Studios(Villagers, S.O.A.K., Pillow Queens), the album balances simplicity with emotional depth, reflecting the realities of modern life as musicians in Ireland.

The Irish Times praises the project as “sublime acoustic pop-folk” and awards it ★★★★, celebrating Driven Snow’s ability to turn personal reflection into universally resonant music.
