This six-hour training provides an engaging and interactive introduction to child-centered play therapy (CCPT), followed by a deeper dive into advanced CCPT concepts. The first half focuses on the fundamentals of play therapy, including what play therapy is, how it works, and the essential skills needed to create a therapeutic environment. Through hands-on activities, participants will explore the role of play therapy in supporting children’s emotional and behavioral growth. The second half transitions into advanced play therapy concepts, including an understanding of the phases of play therapy, recognizing play themes, working with parents, and developing effective treatment plans. Participants will practice applying these advanced principles in real-world scenarios and leave equipped to deepen their play therapy practice. Whether new to play therapy or ready to refine your skills, this training is designed to enhance your confidence and expertise.Behavioral Learning Objectives:Define child-centered play therapy and describe its foundational principles and core components.Explain how play therapy facilitates emotional and behavioral healing in children.Demonstrate basic skills required to establish a therapeutic relationship in child-centered play therapy.Identify and describe the phases of play therapy and how they inform treatment progress.Identify and analyze play themes within child-centered play therapy and their significance in understanding a child’s inner world.Demonstrate ability to create effective documentation for play therapy services including treatment plans and progress notes.Refund and Cancellation Policy:Connect Counseling Center, LLC will make every effort to work with you and resolve issues related to refunds or cancellations.
