Tai Chi Partner Training

Learn to apply Tai Chi principles in real-world interactions. Tui shou (“push hands”) is the partnered practice of Tai Chi Chuan — a set of gentle two-person exercises, designed to bridge the gap between theory, form and application.

This class will explore “fixed-step” methods, which improve stability and posture, alongside choreographed and freestyle footwork drills.

Partner training grounds your understanding of Tai Chi, improves your sensitivity and timing, and speeds your progress towards our classic ideal: to “stand balanced as a scale, and move smoothly as a wheel.”
