Zen Discussion Group: Introducing Zen for Modern Lives

We invite you to an informal evening with a short meditation and a discussion for those interested in learning about the Zen tradition.

Spend some time with people who know the Zen forms and learn how to sit zazen in our beautiful space. Ask questions and learn about Kannon Do’s history and traditions. Discover how Zen practice can supplement your life. Find out how Buddhism may fit within our contemporary society. Be part of a dynamic local community within the Mountain View Area. Tea and snacks provided.

Schedule:

6:30pm – Welcome and introduction to Zen practice
6:50pm – Quiet zazen sitting
7:10pm – Background on Kannon Do, and a short discussion
7:40pm – Break for chatting and refreshments
