Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training prepares local residents to help themselves, their families, and neighbors in the event of a disaster.
The training covers basic skills that are important to know in a disaster when emergency services may not be available. CERT members receive training in earthquake awareness, disaster fire suppression techniques, disaster medical operations, light search and rescue, and team organization and management.
The CERT Class Series consists of five (5) evenings (typically Tuesday & Thursday from 6:30-9:30 p.m.) and one Saturday or Sunday (Field Day from 1-5 p.m.). Attendance at all six (6) sessions is required for certification. Check the class dates below to ensure you can attend all six classes.
All evening CERT classes are held in the auditorium at the Police/Fire Administration Building at 1000 Villa Street in Mountain View. The weekend Field Day/Graduation is held at Fire Station #4, 229 N. Whisman Street in Mountain View.
