On the Black Hand Side pays tribute to the gestural representations of love, spirituality, creativity, respect, dignity, and recognition within Black American cultural traditions. Dap; Peace; Black Power Fist; A particular upwards nod of the head; Extravagant Nail Art; West Side; A-Town Down.

These culturally significant physical gestures are as much a part of the language as words and tone of voice. In the Black American tradition, these gestures often represent feelings of belonging.
