This is the 22nd Annual care • give • run®!

We’re goin’ back to the 80’s with a totally tubular theme. All participants are welcome, and encouraged to break out their windbreakers, neon tights, and scrunchies.

Location: Palmetto Islands County Park, Big Oak and Sweetgum Shelters – 444 Needlerush Parkway, Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. PLEASE CARPOOL IF POSSIBLE!! Each person will pay $2 for entry to the park unless you have a County Park Pass. Come enjoy Food Trucks, Live Music, Kids Activities, Mascot appearances, and more.

Event Day: 5K Partial Trail Run starts at 9 a.m. - Family Fun Walk will start immediately following.

Run/Walk Registration and packet pick-up begins @ 8 a.m. and will end at 8:45 a.m.

There will be no registration past 8:45 a.m. $45 for run – no shirt included, and $40 for walk.

Course: 5K Partial Trail Run: USATF Certified, beautiful scenic partial trail run! Run includes a variety of terrain: Grass, paved trail, sand, boardwalk, dirt, roots, and more. Fast-paced walkers can participate in the 5K. Family Fun Walk: Uncertified and untimed. This is a leisure walk around the scenic park.

5K Registration: Ranges from $25-$45, depending on time of registration. T-shirt included. Chip timing included. All race bibs must be worn on the front of your shirt. Race bibs are non-transferable. Children 3 years old and under are FREE.

Walk Registration: Ranges from $20-$40 depending on time of registration. T-shirt not included, you can earn a CCC t-shirt by raising $50.00 or more. Children 3 years old and under are FREE.

Awards: All finishers get medals! Overall: M/F 1st, 2nd, 3rd Masters: M/F - 3 deep in following age groups M/F: 7 and under, 8-12, 13-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over. Team raising the most money, Largest Team, Best 80s attire, etc. All team awards are based on preregistered participants.

Packet Pick-up: Early Run/Walk packet pick-up will be from 12pm –7pm on Friday, September 26th @ the SpringHill Suites by Marriott, in the Sweet Grass Room - 245 Magrath Darby Blvd., Mount Pleasant.

Liability Waiver: Upon acceptance of my entry, I, for myself, my heirs and assigns, hereby release Carolina Children’s Charity, Palmetto Islands County Park, Charleston County Parks and Recreations and any and all sponsors and officials of the Carolina Children’s Charity 5K Partial Trail Run / Family Fun Walk event from any and all liability arising from illness, injury, or death I may suffer as a result of participation in this event. I attest that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for this event, and I am aware that my participation could, in some circumstances, result in physical injury. Should officials determine that completion of this event would be injurious to my health, I consent to be removed and treated by the medical personnel in attendance at their direction. I give permission for free use of my name and picture in any broadcast, telecast, or written account of these events. I also understand that the entry fee is NONREFUNDABLE FOR ANY REASON, and the run/walk will take place rain or shine. Pets, cycles, and headphones are not allowed on the course for insurance reasons. Children under 10 years old MUST be accompanied by an adult at ALL times!

Our Top Priority is the safety of our participants, volunteers, sponsors, Diplomats, and our local community. In the event that this race must be canceled, we will shift care ● give ● run® to an all virtual race, and all registrations will be transferred to the virtual event. Details will be made available at that time via email and on our website.
