A sangha is more than a group of people that meditate-it is a living community that nourishes mindfulness, compassion, and understanding in daily life. In our gatherings, we will explore how mindfulness can be applied in daily living, share reflections, and you will be led on guided meditations focused on your breath and bringing your attention back to the present moment. The Thyme Travelers Sangha is a welcoming place for both beginners and seasoned practitioners where we will support one another on our individual and collective paths.
“Mindfulness is a kind of energy that we generate when we bring our mind back to our body and get in touch with what is going on in the present moment, within us and around us.” - Thich Nhat Hanh.
About Your Facilitator:
Felipe has been practicing mindfulness and meditation for about four years, after first being introduced to it by his therapist. In the last two years, he has developed a dedicated daily practice, experiencing how mindfulness can nurture mental health, strengthen relationships, and foster both inner peace and a deeper sense of belonging in the world.
Drawn deeply to the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh, Felipe has immersed himself in Thich Nhat Hanh’s books, lectures, and the teachings of his sangha, Plum Village. Felipe’s path has also expanded to include inspiration from teachers such as Ram Dass, Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach, and David Nichtern, feeling a strong connection toward the messages of love, compassion, and presence.
In the last year, Felipe has been an active member of the Thyme Travelers community, engaging in sound baths, breathwork workshops, mindful tea times, the Grounding into Intention retreat, and the Wellness Festival. He is grateful for the opportunity to practice in a community and to support others on the path of mindfulness, compassion, and joy. He is currently working on receiving his Mindfulness Certification.
