Most parents feel better prepared if they learn about pregnancy and the birthing process prior to the arrival of their baby. The Family Birthing Center at McLaren Macomb offers classes to prepare parents-to-be for their delivery and hospital stay.
These classes focus on five aspects of the birthing process: phases of labor and delivery, comfort strategies, medical procedures, breathing and relaxation conditioning, and the postpartum period. The classes also review infant care and safety for new parents, adoptive parents, grandparents, teenage siblings and other caregivers.
