Resource Center at Shimer Square Open House

The Resource Center at Shimer Square will be open for visitors to explore. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet team members from Economic Growth Corporation, learn about the historic, mixed-use Shimer Square redevelopment, and hear what’s ahead regarding additional activity on the campus. Light refreshments will be served.

Restored through the Rebuild Illinois grant, the Resource Center at the Sawyer House now serves as a community hub at Shimer Square. It is home to Yost Management Services, on-site property manger for the 51 studio, 1-Bedroom, 2-Bedroom, and 3-Bedroom apartments.

Visitors will also learn about progress at the Honey Bee Child Development Center at Shimer Square, free HUD-approved housing counseling services available, and CDFI lending programs offered to support small businesses.

Guests are invited to meet staff, tour the main floor, and enjoy light refreshments while discovering the exciting progress happening at Shimer Square.
