The Carolina Beach Music Awards "Hall Of Fame" and Award-Winning Castaways are the premier party band in the Carolinas and Virginia. A reputable band known throughout the South, The Castaways possesses over fifty years of experience in the beach music industry. From its beginning in Durham, NC in 1961, The Castaways have been pleasing audiences with their unique flavor of Beach, Soul, and Rock N' Roll for generations of fans. But don't let the fact that the band has been around for fifty years fool you. High energy, current songs, and fun on stage will bring a party to all age groups! The Castaways' original music can be heard on Beach Music radio shows throughout the southeast.

Your 2026 Annual Pass admits you to this event. Children 12 and under who are accompanied by parents or guardians are admitted free to Amphitheatre events covered by the annual pass.

What time does the gate open?

Gates will open one hour prior to show time. There are three entrances located around the venue marked "PAY HERE." Exchange your ticket for an armband. Children 12 and under are admitted free for the 2026 summer series.

What are my parking options for the event?

Are food and drinks available?

Beer, wine, and food are available.

Coolers/picnic baskets are not permitted.

No outside alcoholic beverages are permitted.

Lawn chairs are recommended.

What is the refund policy?

Ticket sales are non-refundable.

Are Pets Allowed?

Certified service animals are permitted. Each service animal must remain with its owner and be restrained at all times.

What is the weather policy?

In the case of inclement weather, decisions to move the performance indoors will be made by the band no later than 5 pm on the day of the performance. It will be announced on the Blackmon Amphitheatre Facebook Page. Online ticket purchasers will receive notifications via email. If an event is relocated indoors, seating will be first-come, first-served due to limited capacity.

Are there public restrooms?

ADA-compliant public restrooms are located in the Arts Center, 215 Rockford Street, Mount Airy, NC 27030, and behind the amphitheater.

Where is smoking permitted?

Smoking is only permitted in the parking areas. There is no smoking permitted on the amphitheatre grounds or in the restrooms.

Is the venue handicap accessible?

The venue is handicap accessible.
