For our friends who weren't able to be at Live Oak Music Festival for our set there this year, we wanted to share a special Still Time set for you all at the central coast venue that feels the most like the OG Garden Street SLO Brew - The Siren in Morro Bay! With Haircut and Nick from Still Time joining us and our great friends Todd and Korie Newman of Good Medicine Presents promoting the show and cultivating community, as they do so well, this one feels like a full circle moment kinda night and one that shouldn't be missed.
One of the most popular bands to come out of SLO County, Still Time, blended rock, blues, and soulful Americana to form a unique groove/jam based rock sound paired with introspective lyrics. The band, which started with five Cal Poly students in SLO in 2003, played its final central coast concert in 2012. Lead singer/rhythm guitarist, Dan Curcio, has since formed his new band, Moonshiner Collective, who keeps these songs alive through their current shows.
Curcio will be joined by former Still Time bandmates, Chris “Haircut” Arntzen, (guitar/mandolin) and Nick Bilich (lead guitar) and current Moonshiner Collective bandmates - drummer, Ryan House, and 8 string guitarist/bassist, Gary Wooten, for a special set of Still Time songs and some new MC songs as well. Unlike the Live Oak set, we/re going electric for this one and it's gonna be an amazing night of music and community. One of our favorite local acts, Max MacLaury & the Compromisers are opening and we can't wait to see you all!
