Morristown Parks and Recreation and Morristown Hamblen Humane Society Announce 3rd Annual Morristown's College Game Day Tailgate Party
MORRISTOWN, TN – Get ready to wag your tails and show your team spirit! Morristown Parks and Recreation and the Morristown Hamblen Humane Society are thrilled to announce the 3rd annual Morristown's College Game Day Tailgate Party on Saturday, September 13, 2025. This year's event, dedicated to our beloved canine companions, will kick off at 1:00 PM at Farmer’s Market on The Green.
The Morristown Hamblen Humane Society will host a best-dressed dog competition, with proceeds from this and 1907’s booth directly benefiting the shelter. Keep an eye out for Burt, the sweet bulldog, who will be showcasing his best orange attire! Many know Burt as the sweet bulldog who was in the accident and to have surgery for a broken leg after the animal transport vehicle wrecked.
The Green will be filled with excitement, featuring classic tailgate games like Corn Hole and more. The Morristown Parks and Recreation Department will broadcast live on an LED screen, showing various games leading up to the highly anticipated TN vs. GA game.
Attendees are invited to reserve their 12x12 tent spot through the Morristown Parks and Recreation office at no charge, however to participate in the tailgate booth decorating contest, there will be a $10.00 fee. Vendor spots are available for $35.00 for 12x12 space. For those looking to go all out, an additional $10.00 fee allows you to compete in the tailgate booth decorating contest. The most creatively decorated tent will earn bragging rights for the year and a special prize! Everyone is encouraged to participate in both competitions.
