Going to Bat for Pancreatic Cancer Tournament
• $150 Team Buy-in
• All Proceeds going to Amy Longtemps
• 13 Team, 2 field Double elimination
• 5-5 or 6-6 Co-Ed tournament…EH – if you EH a male, you must EH a female
• No team hoping! When you have played and your team is done, YOU are done
• Pitch arc: 6-15 feet
• Plate and mat strike zone
• Starting count: 2-1
• Everyone gets one waste foul on 2 strikes
• Male walks, female has option to walk/hit but male gets second regardless
• 1 runner an inning per gender (pitcher gets unlimited) can be anyone
• 5 homeruns a game after 5 it’s an out for each homerun ONLY on the smaller field. Unlimited homeruns on the larger field
• Homeruns just need to touch 1st base
• Chase your own homerun balls please or pay $5 dollars a ball
• 10 runs per inning on both fields
• If a player swings and misses and anyone leaves the bag, it’s an out!
• Commitment line at 3rd, no contact at home. Foot must cross the line and touch the ground before catcher touches home plate with the ball!
• 1 hour & 10-minute games except championship – no time limit for championship
• Run rule is 20 after 4 innings and 15 after 5 innings
• ZERO TOLERANCE FOR ARGUING! Arguing with any umpire won’t be tolerated. Team captain can speak to the umpires and that’s it
o Just play ball and have fun and let’s raise a bunch of money for a great cause!
• Teams must leave one sober umpire after their gameor pay $20 which will be paid to whomever umpires– Just a suggest but my solution is last out of the game
• Absolutely NO practicing on the Mariner’s field as well as NO use of the batting cages by the Mariners field
• All softball players and guests for the tournament, please park on the grass before the first field, do not park by the Legion porch or concession at all.Parking is also available behind the fields and by the town fields
• ABSOLUTELY NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL ON LEGION GROUNDS! IF CAUGHT YOU WILL BE BANNED FROM THE FACILITY FOR LIFE!
• ASA Bats Only
• Pitchers’ masks recommended but not mandatory. PLAY AT THEIR OWN RISK
• All other ASA rules apply that are not superseded by a rule spelled out above
