Rothbury and the Carriage Drive guided walk

We follow the Coquet River to Thropton before climbing steadily up the quaintly named Physic trail, leading us to the carriage drive above Rothbury. These terraces, constructed by Lord Armstrong to impress visitors to his Cragside Estate, provide great views across the Coquet Valley to the Simonside ridge beyond.
